Welcome to Lighthouse Recovery Home
Lighthouse Recovery is an affordable sober living house for women ages 18 and up in the recovery community of Prescott, AZ. Lighthouse Recovery combines basic sober living structure with drug and alcohol education and treatment through a licensed chemical dependency outpatient facility.
The women of Lighthouse Recovery are offered the support of an active 12 step community as well as access to a therapist specializing in chemical dependency. We maintain a level of accountability, while allowing women the freedom to grow and the opportunity to learn to participate in life.
Our goal at Lighthouse Recovery is to help women in sobriety to bridge the gap between inpatient treatment and living on their own. After watching many women struggle with this transition we decided that we wanted to offer an alternative option to the traditional halfway house.
The goal is to have women live as much of a "normal" life as possible with the support of the house. It can be very helpful to complete inpatient treatment but too often this means that the freedom of living on your own can come as a huge shock. We hope to ease the transition from structure and protection to freedom and choices.
FINDING LONG TERM SOBRIETY
Many young women are starting the journey of recovery all across the country. The real question is how will they maintain this recovery. Our belief is that a program of recovery must eventually be integrated into daily life.
There is no minimum or maximum length of stay at Lighthouse Recovery. This is to allow the transition to be a natural process. Each woman is free to stay from one month to six months or longer, the only expectation is that they give notice in advance of their intentions to move out. We feel that this allows for individual plans to be made with the help and support of the house in order to find the best possible situation to support long term sobriety. The transition should be gradual and feel natural. We have found that when this smooth transition can occur a successful life of long term sobriety is more likely.
